ERGObaby Infant Insert

This product is great if you want to use your ERGObaby carrier from birth, instead of waiting a few months until baby can straddle you in the wide seat. For ease of use, it's best to put on the ERGO's waist belt, put one shoulder strap on, lay baby down on a flat surface, wrap him/her in the infant insert (w/ the cushioning cradling baby's head), then place both together in the carrier and place the other shoulder strap in place and fasten the buckle at the nape of your neck. It sounds more complicated than it is, and the box has great pictures of how baby will be cradled w/ both feet to the side. I wish I would have had one of these when my son was new, but I now sell them to new and expecting parents all the time where I work. It really does cradle the little one's head well and give that needed head support that the ERGO itself doesn't provide for brand new babies. Breastfeeding w/ the insert in place could be tricky, though, as it does cradle baby's head on both sides. Overall, a great invention so parents can use the ERGO for as long as possible, and avoid spending all of that wasted cash on a Bjorn or Snugli that will start to hurt their shoulders once baby reaches 15 lbs or so.
